ADDTKPR.EXE Instructions ======================== Downgrading to a version of Tabs3 that allows fewer timekeepers can cause Data File Integrity Check error 95's (invalid timekeeper). This situation occurs if a statement is unupdated that was originally updated using larger timekeeper numbers. In order to correct these errors, it is necessary to renumber the timekeeper with the invalid number to a number that is valid. If the timekeeper was deleted prior to downgrading, it will be necessary to run the ADDTKPR.EXE program in order to eliminate the error 95's. The ADDTKPR.EXE file is a utility program that can be used to add a deleted timekeeper number (that is greater than the current timekeeper limit) back into Tabs3 thereby allowing the timekeeper to be renumbered. Doing this will eliminate the error 95's. However, keep in mind that since the old timekeeper number must be renumbered, this will affect your productivity reports. This may or may not be a problem depending on whether or not the new timekeeper number is an existing timekeeper number or not. Note: You MUST know the number of the timekeeper that needs to be renumbered. An old timekeeper list can provide this information. 1. Download the ADDTKPR.EXE file to the directory where your Tabs3 program files reside. 2. Execute the ADDTKPR.EXE program. 3. Enter the timekeeper number you want added back into Tabs3. 4. If desired, you can enter a name. This name will be shown in the timekeeper lookup window of the Renumber Timekeeper program. 5. Click OK. 6. Start Tabs3. 7. From the Tabs3 menu bar, select Maintenance and then select Renumber. Select Timekeeper. 8. Renumber the timekeeper to a timekeeper number that is within your new timekeeper limit. If possible, we recommend using a number that isn't currently being used. 9. Run the Data File Integrity Check program to verify the error 95's have been eliminated.
