New feature helps law firms streamline the billing process.

Software Technology, Inc. announced the automation of e-mailing statements in Tabs3, its popular billing program.

“Many law firm clients prefer to receive bills electronically,” said Dan Berlin, President of Software Technology, Inc. “E-mailing statements is the fastest way to get bills to clients so that law firms get paid faster.”

The Tabs3 e-mail statements feature, available in the newly released Tabs3 version 16, helps law firms automate the billing process, thus reducing potential mistakes and saving postage expense. Each e-mail can be previewed before it is sent, and setup allows different groups of clients to have unique e-mail templates and “reply to” e-mail addresses. Statements can optionally be password protected, to ensure that they are seen by the right people. Easily e-mail a statement to one client, or send to dozens in a single batch. E-mails are assembled in Tabs3, so there is no need to attach statements one at a time. All statement PDFs are saved for future reference or re-sending. Optionally attach additional reports and documents to outgoing e-mails. Clients who prefer not to receive statements electronically can still receive paper statements in the mail.
